Both Hunter Strategy partners have experience in the healthcare technology market place.  This experience ranges from starting and running companies developing products or services for the healthcare market to advising young companies and assisting law-firms to develop a practice in the healthcare market.

Personal Health Technologies - PHT

Jim cofounded Personal Health Technology (PHT) and grew it from four to ninety five employes and $17M in annual sales.   PHT developed the first XML DTD for clinical trial data and pioneered the use of the internet to gather and submit clinical trial data.  This involved working closely with the FDA and major pharmaceutical companies.  Jim worked to help found CDISC, the clinical industry data standards organization that now has over 250 members.  PHT also pioneered the use of hand held devices to collect high quality clinical trial data directly from trial participants.  When Jim left PHT over 6,000 handheld devices in 23 different languages were in use in worldwide clinical trials.  Eight of the ten largest pharmaceutical companies were customers of PHT. 
 

sTM Technology

As President of this software company that built billing systems for mental health clinics,  Jim became very familiar with the complexities and inefficiencies of the US healthcare payment systems.  Jim managed the day to day operations of the company, developed a new business strategy and focused the company on high growth markets
 

Advising Healthcare Technology Companies

Both Mimi and Jim have had consulting engagements with various healthcare technology companies in a wide variety of markets including:  pharmacy management,  web-based mental health therapies,  web-based diabates solutions and healthcare decision management.  This work has enabled Mimi and Jim to develop a deep understanding of the complexities of introducing products into the US healthcare marketplace.
